Good News, Bad News
The good news is that more and more U.S. adults are cycling. The bad news is that they’re also visiting the Emergency Room more as well. I’d like to believe that there’s at least some chance that they aren’t visiting more often–they’re simply visiting for different reasons–scrapes, bruises, and broken bones versus heart attacks, strokes, and lung disease.
Even with the occasionally scrape and bruise, it’s easy to imagine that these folks are generally healthier than their sedentary counterparts. In any case, let’s be careful.
