Fifteen years ago, at age 51, Sabra Harvey took up running and began her transition from a sedentary graphic designer to world record holder. Less than 10 years later she set the world record at the 800 meters for women aged 60–64, running 2:34.66, two seconds quicker than the previous record. And she didn’t stop there. In 2014 she set records in the 10K, 5K, 1500 meters, and 800 meters.
