A couple of weekends ago, Ed Whitlock went out and ran a half-marathon in 1 hour, 50 minutes, and 47 seconds. That’s a pretty nice time for almost anybody. If I ran a half marathon in 1:50, I would never stop talking about it at work. I would drive everyone at work totally nuts.
Running a half marathon in 1 hour and 50 minutes is quite an accomplishment for practically anyone. But for 85-year-old Ed Whitlock, it’s just another day at the office. He takes no supplements, has no particular concern with diet, runs with no gadgets, and runs mostly by himself. It’s certainly working for him.
