Outstanding Age Grouper: Robyn Hardage
Robyn Hardage is not your typical age-group athlete. With several wins at smaller races, a top finish at Ironman Maryland in 2014, and most recently, a convincing overall win at Ironman Muskoka in Huntsville, Ontario, it would be easy to see her joining the pro ranks.
Like many age-groupers, however, her most impressive trait is her ability to balance her personal life, work (she’s a full-time job as a lawyer with the Canada Border Services Agency), and all the training necessary to excel in such a time-intensive sport.
She finished 11th in her age-group at the 2013 World Championships in Kona and, with her win at Muskoka, has already secured a spot in 2016. Right now, however, she’s focused on this year’s World Championships and is certainly a strong contender for a podium finish. Good luck, Robyn!
