Bill Reynolds: 85-year-old Providence man is a world No. 1 runner
Dennis Branham didn’t run in college, never made it to the Olympics and never ran professionally, but in his age group, he’s the best on the planet.
What’s his secret. His daughter and his coach say it best.
“He thinks like a young man,” she said. “There’s still a boyishness about him. He still gets excited.”
“Dennis is a runner,” Rothenberg said, “He’s an athlete. That’s how he thinks, and that’s how he moves. He just happens to be 85.”
What a great way to live.
