Paula Newby-Fraser on Babbittville Radio
A great interview with “The Queen of Kona”, Paula Newby-Fraser. She first raced the Ironman World Championships in 1985, coming in 3rd, and states she’d never ridden 112 miles in a single week, let alone in a day, or run a marathon prior to that day. That simply never fails to amaze me. She returned the following year, taking first place, and went on to win 7 more championships between 1988 and 1996.
If you’re not familiar with Babbittville Radio, you won’t find a better source for inspirational interviews from the world of endurance sports. Hosted by Bob Babbitt, an Ironman Hall of Fame and the USA Triathlon Hall of Fame inductee, the interviews are always entertaining and inspiring.
Babbittville Radio is available on iTunes and, my personal favorite, Stitcher.
